Zavvid is a free online YouTube downloader for videos, Shorts and music. Paste a link, choose MP4, MP3 or M4A, and your download starts in seconds, straight from your browser. There's no app to install, no account and no ads.
Save videos as MP4 in up to 1080p, or keep just the audio as MP3 or M4A.
Downloads start in seconds and run at full speed, in any modern browser on your phone or computer.
No pop-ups, no redirects, no accounts and no download history. Privacy-conscious by design.
Three steps, and the file is on your device.
In the YouTube app, tap Share → Copy link. On a computer, copy the address from your browser's address bar.
Paste the link into the box above and press Start. You can also paste a link anywhere on the page.
Pick MP4 for video or MP3 and M4A for audio, choose the quality, then tap Download.
Paste almost any YouTube link and save it the way you want. No sign-up, no ads, no pop-ups.
MP4 is the best choice for video. It plays on every phone, tablet, computer and smart TV. Zavvid offers 1080p Full HD, 720p HD and 360p, so you can choose a sharp picture or a smaller file.
For music, podcasts and lectures, download just the audio. MP3 works with every player and car stereo. M4A keeps YouTube's original AAC audio without re-encoding, so it's the fastest to save and sounds exactly like the source.
Zavvid runs entirely in your browser, so there's nothing to install. On iPhone and iPad, downloads are saved to the Files app under Downloads. On Android they appear in your browser's downloads.
Install Zavvid from your browser's menu and it joins the Android share sheet, so a video can be sent to it straight from the YouTube app. iPhone doesn't let a website join the share sheet, so there tap Share, then Copy link, open Zavvid and paste it: the lookup starts on its own.
On Windows, macOS and Linux, files go to your usual Downloads folder.
Paste a Shorts link and Zavvid saves it as an MP4 in its original vertical 9:16 format, in up to 1080p, with no watermark added.
On iPhone and iPad, open Files → Downloads, tap the video, then tap Share → Save Video to add it to Photos. On Android, the video appears in your gallery automatically.
Zavvid is free, with no premium plan. The only limits are fair-use ones that keep it fast for everyone. There are no ads or pop-ups to click through and no accounts, so there's nothing to sign up for and no download history. Files are streamed straight to your device and aren't stored on our servers.
Downloads are fast too. Zavvid fetches the video and audio at the same time and joins them as they arrive, so most videos are ready in seconds.

To keep Zavvid fast for everyone there are fair-use limits: a limited number of downloads per minute from the same network, and videos up to 2 hours long. If you hit a limit, wait a minute and try again.
Private, age-restricted, members-only and region-locked videos can't be downloaded, and neither can live streams until they end. YouTube also occasionally blocks downloads for a short while. Try a lower quality or try again in a few minutes.
No. There are no accounts and no download history. Files are streamed straight to your device and aren't kept on our servers. Our servers keep short-lived technical logs for security and troubleshooting. See the Privacy Policy for details.
That depends on where you live and what you download. Only download videos you own or have permission to save, respect copyright and YouTube's Terms of Service, and don't redistribute other people's content.
